All I can say is that I absolutely LOVE the Dune Crosse series! An Unlikely Friendship is my favorite book so far out of all of BB Ace’s books (and that’s saying something as all their novels are fantastic). It has every element a book needs: suspense, intrigue, and action. The storyline is captivating and pulls you in instantly. The characters are dynamic, the setting is unique, the plot is action-packed, and the descriptive writing is written in a way that helps the reader visualize as if watching a movie. The backstory pieced together as the book moved along, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Something I don’t like about a lot of books is that they can often follow a very overdone and cliché storyline. That is never the case with a BB Ace book! Each one is written with individual creativity and has its own unique fingerprint. Even if you don’t typically read sci-fi series, An Unlikely Friendship will leave you wanting to see what happens next in Serial #2: The Krane Factor.
I can’t wait to read what happens next in Serial #2. Survival on Dune’s world is nail-biting-edge-of-the-seat-adventure-ride. You think you know what will happen and then “whamo” surprise. Dune is kidnapped but for what purpose? Who is his kidnapper? Who will be the savior of these warring factions in this fight for survival post-apocalyptic world. Will Dune figure out who the enemy is? This story reminds me a lot of Edgar Rice Burroughs adventure books. Is Dune the new Tarzan?
This is not the first book I’ve read by BB Ace, and I have to say how impressed I am with the unique storylines. As another reviewer pointed out, the stories have new and unusual twists and turns. An Unlikely Friendship is no exception. An exciting start to what will, hopefully, be an exciting series.
This is a gift for a family member who loves Sci-Fi. I have no doubt that he'll also love this book, and it's so refreshing to know that I can buy a book without any worry about the content in it. Thank you so much for providing such wonderful books!
Nice, quick read which is nice when you’re short on time. Would also make a good starter chapter book for young readers. Lots of action and story development in this first book! I’m definitely looking forward to what happens in the next books.
